Plans Underway for Guilford Art League Winter Show

Hello Guilford Art League Members!

In just two weeks your paintings will be coming down from the current show at Guilford Community Center, 32 Church St. The date is Tuesday, January 24, 9:30–10 am, to pick up your works from the Fall Show and bring in new works for the Winter Show.

If you are unable to come at that time, please ask a friend to collect your painting(s), or let us know that you will be arriving late so we can leave them in a specified corner of the room for you to retrieve.

We will also be hanging the 2023 WINTER SHOW and hope that you can bring 1–3 new pieces to go on the walls! Paintings should be appropriately framed and ready to hang. Click here for an identification tag; forms will also be available in the room for you to fill out.

For those of you who are new members, the Guilford Art League has had seasonal exhibits at the community center for many years. The 2nd floor Menunkatuck Room, which is the main exhibit space, is used daily by a wide variety of community groups, so our paintings are seen by hundreds of people. The shows change every three months. The community center has recently asked us to extend the exhibits into the stairwell and downstairs hallway, where even more people will see them. We regularly sell work from these shows, although you may also list your work as Not For Sale. Artists do not pay a commission to GAL for sales from these shows.

We look forward to seeing all of you and your artworks!

Sandra Kensler, 203-421-5708
