About

The Guilford Art League promotes an interest in the arts and provides support for regional artists. We have move than 150 members from all over Connecticut.

We are in our 74th year.  Our beginnings were humble. In 1947, a group of local artists exhibited their artwork hanging from a clothesline strung across the Guilford Green. Today, the League continues to promote the visual arts. We support artists of all ages, abilities, mediums, and styles, and organize numerous exhibitions and social events each year.

There are many opportunities for members to exhibit their work and meet fellow artists. We hold two member shows each year, have our spring Carry-in Supper with a speaker, participate in the summer EXPO on the Guilford Green, and offer quarterly exhibition opportunities in the Guilford Community Center. Our biggest event of the year is the heavily attended Annual Juried Show in the beautiful Gallery at the Guilford Art Center.
