A Reminder for those with work in the Spring 2026 Community Center Show – The Spring Community Center Show is drawing to a close. If you had work hanging in this show, pick it up on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 from 2:00 – 2:30 p.m. at the Community Center. If you can’t come then, please make arrangements to have a friend collect your work OR contact Jeanette Wimmerat wimmerj14@gmail.com. to make other arrangements.
Guilford Art League members – You are invited to exhibit your work at our Summer Show at the Guilford Community Center, 32 Church Street. Drop off is Wednesday, July 8, 2:00 – 2:30 p.m. in the upstairs Menunkatuck Room.
Each artist can bring 1–2 pieces, no more than 40 inches in height or width, and wired for hanging (NO sawtooth hangers). No sculpture. Click here for the identification tag; tags will also be available in the Menunkatuck Room.
For those of you who are new members, GAL has had seasonal exhibits at the community center for many years. These shows run for three months; they change every January, April, July, and October. The Menunkatuck Room is used daily by a wide variety of community groups, and our works also are shown in the stairwell and downstairs hallway, where even more people see them. We regularly sell work from these shows, although you may list your work as Not For Sale.
A few more details about our Community Center Shows – Our shows at the Community Center are for Guilford Art League members ONLY. There are no fees to submit to these shows, and if you sell work, you get to keep all of the proceeds.
