Guilford Art League Summer Show at Guilford Community Center

For 78 years, the Guilford Art League has promoted an interest in the arts and provided support for artists on the shoreline and throughout Connecticut. More than 175 member artists of all ages, abilities, mediums, and styles participate in numerous exhibitions and social events each year including their 2025 Summer Show, on view at the Nathanael B. Greene Community Center (32 Church Street, Guilford) until October 1.

Featured artists include Philip Backus, Sylvia Bicki, Jolie Collins, Steffen Cretella, Raffael DiLauro, Carole Dubiell, Ruth Dwyer, Thomas Mayer, Arthur Guagliumi, Lisa Helene, Elizabeth Hundt Scott, Sheila Kaczmarek, Laurie Kelley, Wendy Kohli, Suzanne Kruger, Steven LeRoux, Thomas Mayer, Linda McCarthy, Sharon Morgio, Lauren Murphy, Chris Penry, Anne Pierson, Annette Pompano, Patricia Schiraldi, Steve Senatro, Brooke Sheldon, Vickie Williams, and Jeanette Wimmer.

In total, there are 47 pieces of art in the show including oil, acrylic, assemblage and mixed media, watercolor, pen and ink, etchings, textiles, glass painting, and collage. Be sure to check it out!

The Guilford Art League was founded in 1947 by a small group of local artists. The objective of the art league is to promote and stimulate interest in the visual arts. Members and associates of the Guilford Art League are a participating and interactive group of artists who learn and benefit from their association with one another.
