RECEPTION FOR THE WINTER SHOW &
POETRY READING
Everyone is invited to attend our annual reception for the Winter Show at the Guilford Community Center on Wednesday, February 19, 5–7 pm, in the Menunkatuck and Quonnipaug Rooms (upstairs). Please bring finger foods to share! Sixty-one members’ works are on display in the Menunkatuck Room, the stairwell, and the main floow hallway.
For the second year, students from Adams Middle School have written poems about some of our artworks, under the tutelage of their teacher Phillip Day and GAL member (and Madison Poet Laureate) Ed Lent. The students will read their poems, which will also be posted at the reception. At last year’s event both artists and poets and their parents had a great time meeting each other and sharing these artistic endeavors.
We hope everyone will join us!
