Outdoor Show Next Weekend
We invite everyone to come with friends and family to GAL’s 77th Annual Exhibition and Sale on the Guilford Green next weekend, Friday–Sunday, July 19–21. More than 20 GAL members will be exhibiting and selling their work. Come and support your fellow artists! This event is FREE on the NORTH END of the GUILFORD GREEN.
This year we are thrilled to join the non-profit Starship Dance Theatre in celebrating the arts at the outdoor show! On Saturday, June 20, SDT dancers will bring Degas’ ballerinas to life. Performances will begin at 12:30 and repeat at 20-minute intervals throughout the afternoon till 4 pm. GAL is proud to be part of this communal effort to bring the joy of the arts to our shoreline community for free.
Juried Show in September
Looking forward to our juried show in September, we also would like to invite members to consider donating a prize for the show. It could be given in memory of a loved one, or to honor someone or something, or to acknowledge outstanding artistic achievement in a particular area (for instance, collages, landscapes, innovative techniques, abstract art, or any other area). Your prize will be named on an award plaque and listed in the program.

Finally, we have a dynamic “coordinating committee” that has been doing a great job of organizing GAL’s activities and shows. But we could use your talents as well!
Specifically, we are looking for people to help with communications with our members, website maintenance, and social media. We are also looking for a new treasurer—and you don’t need to be an accountant to take care of our simple and straightforward finances!
