On Sunday, March 17, 1:30–3:30 pm, members of the Guilford Poets Guild will read poetry inspired by paintings in the show. These ekphrastic poetry readings—poems inspired by other works of art — offer a unique way to see artwork.
There is a wide range of styles and media in this year’s show — oil and acrylic paintings, watercolors, prints, mixed media and photography — reflecting the diverse talents of the League’s 180 members.
Many of the items on display are for sale and further details may be obtained from Denise Casey, dencasey@comcast.net or Sheila Kaczmarek, sheila.f.Kaczmarek@gmail.com.
The Guilford Art League was founded in 1947 by a small group of local artists. The objective of the art league is to promote and stimulate interest in the visual arts. Members and associates of the Guilford Art League are a participating and interactive group of artists who learn and benefit from their association with one another.
